The Warren Alpert Medical School notifies interviewees of committee decisions on a rolling basis. Applicants to the MD-ScM Program are considered for admission to the Regular MD program initially. MD-ScM admission decisions are determined in mid-March. All MD/PhD decisions are announced in March.

Admissions Decisions

Acceptance decisions are provisional, pending the AAMC-recommended Criminal Background Check. Post-interview decisions are transmitted through Alpert Medical School's secure online application system and via email. Only offers of admission are sent via US postal service. All Admissions Committee decisions are final and cannot be appealed.

Deferring Entrance

An accepted applicant may request to defer matriculation for one year after acceptance of an offer of admission. Reasons for deferral must be significant and submitted in writing to the Office of Admissions. Decisions are considered on a case-by-case basis.
