Good Morning!
Welcome to your interview day at The Warren Alpert Medical School of Brown University! It's going to be a great day.
In anticipation of a frequent end-of-the-day question, we put together this document for answers to sending a thank-you note to your interviewers. A reminder that writing one (or not) has no bearing whatsoever on your admissions outcome.
Virtual Interview Day Folder
Here are the contents of your virtual interview day folder. It is not necessary to print these out for this morning's information sessions with us; presenters will be sharing their screens. However, we do recommend you print out your individual interview day schedule that was sent with the email that linked you to this page.
- MD'28 Class Profile
- Curriculum Summary
- Office of Belonging, Equity, Diversity and Inclusion (OBEDI) Flyer
- Financial Aid Handout
- Summary of Student Groups, Electives, and Scholarly Concentrations
- Match List 2024

Interview Preparation
Soon you will see a Web Interview menu item on the left-hand side of your Interview tab when you log back in to https://admissions.med.brown.edu. When you click that, you'll be taken to an agreement page outlining that your interview is not to be recorded. Once you click that, your next screen is where you'll be able to press the Start Interview button. We put together some screenshots of what you'll see when you begin your interviews shortly; please review that document here.
Computer Tips + Requirements
- Please be sure to update your browsers.
- Have a computer with a camera and microphone. You may be asked for permission to use your camera and microphone, unless you previously saved this setting.
- Mobile web browsers are currently not supported. Do not plan on using a mobile device (phone/tablet).
- You can test your camera using this link: https://www.onlinemic.test/webcam-test/
- You can test your microphone using this link: https://www.onlinemictest.com/
- It is recommended that you use headphones or earbuds for the interview to reduce audio feedback and improve overall audio quality.
- If available, we recommend using an external microphone for improved audio quality and to reduce audio interference caused by your computer hardware.
- We suggest that you test your computer's video and audio beforehand by conducting a Zoom session with a friend well before your interview day. Remember to be sure to allow popups, if prompted by your browser.
- Have a look at the AAMC's helpful resource "Virtual Interviews: Applicant Preparation Guide"
