In particular, please review sections: 2.0, 3.1, 3.2, & 3.6. Inform the Director of Admissions (Joanne_McEvoy@brown.edu) of potential conflicts of interest. You may be asked to step away from the Committee in year when a family member is applying for admission. As stated in Section 4: Family Member is defined as: a spouse, domestic partner, parent, child, sibling, grandparent, grandchild, (as well as in-laws and step parent, child, sibling, grandchild), guardian and ward or member of one's household. If you have a different personal or professional relationship to an applicant, The Committee Chair will determine an appropriate resolution. You may be asked to withdraw from discussion, voting or other decision-making processes where a conflict of interest exists or might arise. At your option, you may recuse yourself from interviewing, discussion and voting on any candidate where you determine a conflict of interest exists.
